Terms of Use
Please read these Terms carefully. By downloading or using the Expense Tracking app you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of
Expense Tracking (com.expensetracking.android, "App", "Service"), made by
Reflect Technology Inc. ("we", "our", "us") and available on the App Store
and Google Play.
1 Acceptance of Terms
By installing, accessing, or using the App, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age, that you have read and understood these Terms, and that you agree to be bound by them. If you are using the App on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation.
2 Licence to Use the App
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the App on a device you own or control, to keep your own personal or business financial records, in accordance with these Terms.
You may not:
- Copy, modify, or distribute the App or any part of it.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App.
- Use the App for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any systems or networks.
- Sell, sublicense, or commercialise the App or its content.
3 Subscriptions & Payment
The App offers an optional auto-renewing subscription ("Premium") that removes ads and lets you share a business with your staff. Premium is entirely optional — the App remains fully usable for free without it.
Premium is available in the following billing periods:
- Monthly — billed every 1 month
- Quarterly — billed every 3 months
- Yearly — billed every 12 months
The exact price for each plan, in your local currency, is displayed in the App before you confirm any purchase and is charged to your Apple ID (iOS) or Google Play account (Android) at confirmation of purchase.
Auto-renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew for the same period unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the then-current price for the plan you selected. Payment is processed entirely by Apple or Google — we never receive or store your card details.
Managing or cancelling: You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time from your device's store account settings — go to Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on iOS, or Google Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions on Android. Cancelling stops future renewals; Premium remains active until the end of the period you already paid for.
Refunds: Refund requests are handled directly by Apple or Google under their respective refund policies, not by us. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com (iOS) or your Google Play account (Android) to request one.
Restoring purchases: If you reinstall the App or switch devices, use the "Restore Purchases" option in the App's Premium screen to reactivate a subscription tied to your Apple ID or Google account.
4 Your Data and Your Account
You can use the App without an account; your records are then stored only on your device. You can also sign in with your email address to back up your records and sync them across your devices. You are responsible for the email address you use and for keeping access to it, as it is how you sign in.
You own the records you enter. You are responsible for their accuracy and, if you don't use an account, for keeping your own backups (for example with the App's backup and export features). We are not liable for data lost through device failure, accidental deletion or uninstalling the App. How we handle your data is described in our Privacy Policy.
Deleting your account: you can delete your account at any time in the App (Settings → Danger Zone → Delete account) or on our account deletion page. The account closes at once and its data is removed after 30 days; signing in again within those 30 days cancels the deletion.
5 Shared Businesses
With Premium, the owner of a business can invite other people by email and choose what each person can see and do. If you are the owner, you are responsible for who you invite and the access you give them, and for having the right to share that business's information with them. If you are invited, you may only use a shared business as the owner allows.
- Records added to a shared business belong to that business and stay with it, even if the person who added them leaves or deletes their account.
- Changes are recorded in the business's activity history, showing who made each change and when.
- If the owner's Premium ends, the people they invited can still view the business but can't make changes until Premium is renewed.
- The owner can hand the business over to another person; the new owner then controls it.
6 Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, logo, graphics, text, and code, is owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you.
The name "Expense Tracking" and the associated logo are proprietary to us. You may not use them without our prior written consent.
7 Third-Party Services
The App integrates third-party services including but not limited to Google AdMob (advertising), Google Firebase (push notifications, analytics and in-app messages), Cloudflare (servers for accounts and sync) and Brevo (emails). Your use of those services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the conduct of any third-party service.
8 Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of viruses or other harmful components. The App is intended as a personal finance management tool only and does not constitute financial, investment, or legal advice.
9 Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of — or inability to use — the App, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid (if any) for the App in the twelve months preceding the claim. If you have not paid for Premium, this limit is effectively zero.
10 Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the App in violation of these Terms or applicable law.
11 Termination
We may suspend or close your account, or remove your access to a shared business, if we believe you have violated these Terms or misused the Service. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it, and you may delete your account at any time as described in Section 4.
12 Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms at any time by updating this page. The revised Terms take effect immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
13 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any dispute arising out of these Terms shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation; failing that, through binding arbitration or the courts of competent jurisdiction.
